About MOLO

Molo Urbano was created through the partnership of Polenta, a design studio, and Inmec, a metalworking company. By combining expert design with local manufacturing, we develop durable and sustainable urban furniture. Based in San Martín, Buenos Aires, we focus on improving public spaces with innovative solutions.

Our mission is to create places where people can connect, using design as a key tool. We prioritize high quality, efficient production, and eco-friendly practices. Every project we undertake aims not only to enhance functionality but also to improve community life.

Our history

Molo was founded in 2016 with the launch of its first urban furniture collection, the "M Line". From the beginning, its design and quality were widely recognized. In 2017, Molo received several awards from institutions such as Casa FOA, Sello del Buen Diseño Argentino (Argentine Good Design Seal), the National Design Biennial, Innovar 2017, and the Faculty of Design and Urbanism at the University of Buenos Aires.

In 2018, Molo was chosen to represent Argentina at the prestigious Milan Furniture Fair, the world's most important design event, bringing together over 160 countries and attracting around 300,000 international visitors. A year later, in 2019, the company took a major step toward sustainability by incorporating eco-friendly materials and reducing its environmental impact in every stage of production.

That same year, Molo furnished the Central Plaza of General San Martín with its Modular Bench and Insignia Basket. In 2020, it represented Argentina at the Ibero-American Design Biennial in Madrid (BID). In early 2021, Molo contributed to the iconic renovation of Puerto Madero by providing furniture for the Paseo del Bajo with its Co-work collection.

More recently, in 2023, Molo outfitted the green streets of Buenos Aires with its innovative RE Lounge Chairs, reinforcing its commitment to functional and sustainable design.
